From the start:

Foreword: Inquiring Chicken Mind

There is no such thing as man being an island onto one’s self. The reason I believe in that declarative statement is a basic premise of a human life. Recall and name one individual that has lived from the beginning without the touch of another to sustain them. How would that person learn: to read and write down his or her name. Making a mark and communicating is a societal tool. Humanity would want to know how the lone male or female learned to be such an island. Without another person to guide, teach, and nurture us in one form or another then our life would be void and null.

People innately need each other to live. We all start off as clay in the image of the creator and then the people in our lives mold us. Sure there are times when we buckle and strain against their massage but, essentially people need people to live, learn, grow, love, hate and leave behind a mark that communicates to others. Humans need to show the path to individual enlightenment's offered to all men, women and children.

My friend, JoJo, has stage IV breast cancer. I started this collection on the 9th of July 2007 when I found out the cancer spread even though she was pronounced “cancer free.” This is a collection of my thoughts, letters, and humorous stories to keep me from crying, poems and other essays. I started this in my EBay blog while gearing up the “Fuzzy Thong Charity Auction. I have taken my posts and added as I needed to voice what I was feeling. This journal is my declaration of love for my friend, JoJo.
